Don’t Vote Third Party! The Lesser Evils Await!

To everyone trying to dissuade others from voting “third party” or whatever – YUCK.

Seriously, YUCK. I hate pseudo plea pulls at the intellect and sympathy like that. I hate the way these arguments use subtle authoritarian angles and seek to push the fear buttons in others.

“I understand the need for third parties and your passion for them, but you must vote for such and such because of the greater evil”

YUCK.

Our world is already on a road of destruction and in desperate need of change. WE are in desperate need of a sense of urgency. It’s only a matter of time before there’s a Fukushima in the U.S., or fracking hits a fault line, or there’s world war 3.

We already live in a country that doesn’t give a shit about lead in drinking water. It’s not outlandish to conclude that greed and apathy rule not just our water supply but much of our modern world.

There’s so much destruction and our “leaders” don’t care! These are not good times in which to turn the mind off!

If we’re lucky we’ll use the bumps along the way to wake up. To withdraw our energy and consent from our own downfall.

I’m voting for anyone but the two “evils” because I care about my self, perhaps karma. Seriously, if the world goes to shit I want to know that I didn’t support one crook over another. I have self respect and it is a respect that deeply cares about others too, about survival on a deeper and long term level not just what’s happening on the news today.

There is no good reason to support any evil, lesser or not, if one cares about their integrity.

If it takes decades for the masses to wake up and withdraw their support from false and destructive roads, and explore other options, so be it!  We are in the mess we’re in because people have lost touch and “gone along to get along” too much. We think we’re thinking long term when putting support toward the “lesser” of evils but we’re merely taking a slower road to hell.

Long term vision is something many have lost.  We’ve lost the common sense to include the survival of our hearts and souls in our practical thinking.

The only way we can save ourselves from this mess is by WAKING UP.

Commend those with the strength and conviction to do so TODAY. Don’t patronize and condescend them.

It’s not smart to condescend those who think for their selves. You will be such a person yourself some day if you aren’t already, and the “karma” we accumulate for kicking others for thinking for themselves can be ruthless. It’s the most difficult test of the soul anyone faces in this world, it’s the loneliest and harshest test. Few want to face it so they stay asleep.

There’s nothing wrong with that (we wake up when ready), but it’s not good to attack those who do challenge themselves and question the world. It’s better to listen and learn from them as we will be them ourselves some day.

It’s always better to be awake today than pay for it tomorrow. Yet there are many extenuating circumstances in which we think we must “go along to get along”. Just because we have to do that sometimes doesn’t mean we should be ok with it. Not being ok with it is what makes us human.

It’s the conflict, the nagging itch within that makes us alive. As soon as we give that up and go to sleep we are no longer living.

Condescension toward those who have courage to think for themselves is, always has been, and always will be shameful.

Maybe it’s better to stop trying to convert them and rather stop, listen, and learn from them.

The First Order Of Business

Watching the RNC… one of the tragedies of humanity is that we usually gain the ability to hurt and destroy life before we gain the conscience to appreciate it.

There’s a lot of people playing with dark emotions these days – hate and anger – without the self discipline or composure to handle them without being consumed by them.

Maybe I’m too Zen Jedi about things to be commenting on politics, but I believe the first order of business is self mastery. Especially the ego and emotions.

The world out there, especially politics, is full of avenues that are making it easy for people to leave their self control and consciences behind.

That is not the message to be buying into.

Men need to start taking pride in their self mastery, not in how loud, forceful, violent they can be toward others.

We don’t live in a society with much strength, that’s why there’s so much chest beating. Insecurity.

We can change that though, by looking within our own selves and at our own mirrors.

It’s the first order of business.

The Strength To Stand True

Sometimes I’m reminded at how incredibly human, and immature, we all are. How we all have the same basic needs, that we’re social creatures seeking acknowledgement and company.

It’s one thing to seek empathy from our fellow human beings, to feel that we’re heard and acknowledged. Sometimes this need can be strong, and we have strong things to say. It’s a wonderful thing when we can share and feel heard.

It’s another thing to be like “If you don’t agree with me, side with me, and jump on MY bandwagon/how I see things then you’re not on my side and you’re the enemy!”. It’s like people who are addicted to the news, when they see something negative they expect you to jump into a negative discussion about it… but if you’re quiet rather than waste your energy talking about that negative story they lash out at you.

The imbalanced mind sees everything as duality, “black vs. white”, if you don’t throw all of your energy and agreement into siding with an imbalanced person they will turn you into an enemy too.

The human ego believes it is the center of the universe. The problem is it’s not centered, it’s mad and erratic. The ego also tends to have a problem with being too racing/active and desperately needing to find inner stillness. It’s an indication that a mind is imbalanced when it can’t appreciate objectivity and stillness… and strangely enough it’s the same imbalance that can’t appreciate free thought and authentic expression! It’s the same imbalance that tries to squash originality and freedom in others.

Some things I read today reminded me of the many struggles I faced growing up being an “outsider” because of my own calm and objective mind. People would often be drawn to my calm, strength, and I’d do amazing things for them. I’d be incredibly kind to them, but then they’d lash out at me for keeping to myself/having my own thoughts/not feeding into their biases and dramas. They’d lash out at me for standing alone and not joining a group. I was also bullied by the biggest bullies yet they never defeated me (they eventually got the picture that continuing to bully me would of been detrimental to their well being).

Bullies are everywhere, and anyone who misuses their strength over others seemingly free of or indifferent to the consequences. The bully is someone who desperately needs to face the mirror. The same could be said about the unhealthy ego in general though. It’s mad and hypocritical. It’ll attack you for what’s it doing. It’ll contradict itself in the same sentence. All in some dazed fantasy realm that distorts reality, free of self reflection and accountability. Not everyone is a “bully”, yet the typical asleep and unhealthy ego is more on the spectrum of the bully than it is on the spectrum of the hero and true self. The inner self. The authentic self, at one with thy heart and soul.

We’re all victims in some way or another in this world. How we handle it writes our tales. How we handle it is what makes us our own heroes or bullies. Some people are more asleep than others, some are madder than others. The more you awaken the more this becomes noticeable. Sometimes because those bullies and mad egos will try to push you around or take advantage of you. It’s all an incredible challenge but if you are awakening you’re already on the path. You likely have the strength to find your way, and the way is within. It’s knowing thyself. It’s your inner/higher self. It’s staying true, holding yourself both high and accountable, even when the world seems mad. It’s fully embracing yourself, it’s self forgiveness and empathy, even when the world seems cruel and unforgiving.

It takes tremendous strength to have your own mind. It takes tremendous humility, maturity, and compassion to know how mad and immature people (with their egos) can and will probably be to you at some point or another. The more you stand as your own person, the more challenges you face from the group and group think.

It is admirable for any of us to practice stillness, centeredness, and objectivity. It’s admirable when any of us exercises calmness of mind. It’s the most “bad ass” thing one can do, in a Kung Fu kind of way. It’ll make you stronger than any extroverted and flashy display of dominance.

I’ve always believed in pushing the self. Push thyself until thyself faces the mirror and has their breakdowns. Do not be afraid of those break downs, embrace them and come out stronger. Don’t push others around or attack others, especially when it’d be easy to do so.

To master the self is the greatest challenge.

It makes you tough because you’re immediately an outsider to your fellow human beings, and being an outsider now you must develop your internal strength, non attachment, and even compassion to deal with people who are going to pick on you for being an outsider.

Outsider is really code for your true Self.

It’s what makes us all insiders on the real journey. It unifies us all, no matter the mountains we have to climb or how we get there. True Self.

Glitch The Matrix

Fun trick for causing glitches in the matrix (and peoples’ brains) – next time someone starts talking pity party gossip about something totally unrelated to them, like celebrity drama… Say “Hey, so when’s the last time you gave that elderly relative of yours a call?” Or what about that friend who is struggling? I heard their friend is fighting depression or is struggling to feed their self.

Do this often because false engagement of emotion is disgusting. We’re not working our hearts and developing our soul muscles by droning on about gossip in the news! You don’t grow muscles by wading in the kiddy pool (which is full of urine)! We need to work our hearts and souls regularly to truly be alive.

We’re disgusting and we need to be shaken up regularly so we don’t get lulled into the spell that the media casts.

We’re disgusting but we’re not bad. We’re fundamentally good but we’re trained badly like abused dogs by this world. This is no one’s fault but it needs to change.

We worship celebrities and those “above” us. Yet we tell our friends and family members to pick themselves up by their bootstraps. We tell each other that if you work really hard you can be rich and famous too. We tell each other lies that we know deep down are bullshit. We ought to be reaching out to each other, caring and helping.

Most people are NOT engaged in reality. Their minds are caught in a daze. They’re off pursuing riches and fame but 99% of people are never going to attain riches and fame. They could be investing in each other instead of new cars and tvs. Most will not realize their mistake until the end of their lives when they must let go of their material things.

That is sad. We must wish better for each other than this and this is why we must glitch up the droning matrix as much as we can. It’s not that most people are bad. They’re caught in a daze and have been raised wrongly by the world.

They gone done need to be woken up before it’s too late! Throw a wrench in when they’re droning meaningless gossip. Glitch the hell out of the matrix and glitch it often.

Climbing Mountains

FHLs

Day # I don’t know, of my recovery. Pushing myself, facing my body’s pains and fear. I think it’s getting there when you can do the Rocky moves in your work out. I don’t need a mountain to climb, I’ve been climbing a mountain since I was born. The mountains run away from me because they’re afraid I’m gonna eat them up in toe and heel.

It’s the journey and it can be long and lonely.

Sometimes there’s people along the way and they say, “Hey you’re so good at this can you carry my weight?”. Sometimes you help them out. Sometimes you gotta leave them in the wind.

It’s the paradox of the mountain. There’s other people on it and if you’re higher than they are and they’re asking for help, they can’t return the favor. Not today. They’ll make you feel alone as you carry their weight close to your chest. You’re not really holding them, just holding their load. They might be sitting on their ass at the bottom of the mountain. They might be higher than you but not in heart because they might forget about you when they make it.

It’s the paradox of the mountain. The more alone you are on the rugged trail and it does draw ragged beads from stung eyes, the more alone the closer you feel. In the open air, closer to everything. The more you appreciate every contact and every connection.

I’ve been climbing since I was born. There’s only one other person I respect in this world and that’s the person who’s climbing theirs too.

You can only hope that others live with the same reverence, like a spark of solidarity, but you gotta climb yours, gotta love yours.

It’s the journey, it’s the trail tailor made to the soul, fit to the soles. It’s our mountains we climb. It’s our climbs that bring us together. In the climb we find our peace, in our deepest pushes we find our harmony.

Mothers Day, Respect Her Love and Work!

Everyone says they love their mothers but I’m wary unless they love all mothers. I’m not moved by sentiment unless they respect all life. I’m not convinced unless they love what she loves and works to create and brings into the world. What she toils, nurtures, cries, sweats and has bled for.

I think to respect the mother we have to respect her work and personal sacrifices.

I think mothers day shouldn’t revert us to sentiments. I think it should make us all sober and look at what the hell we’re doing to each other on this planet… I know it’s a radical idea, it’s like saying we should be decent to each other year round and not just put it on a Christmas card.

Keep in mind that every living thing came from a mother in one form or another. Remember that many living things came from the blood, sweat, tears, self sacrifices and enduring love of a mother. Respect your mother by respecting all mothers. Respect the mother by respecting what she’s toiled in stress and joy, pain and love to give a chance to in this world. Love is more than a feeling. It’s awareness, it’s consciousness, it’s actions.

Throwback Thursday

white

When we were undifferentiated light and Oneness… which was before beginnings and ends so “back” and “before” don’t really apply, and actually they only apply in the little picture. Which is to say, one’s little picture should be distinct and meaningful, in the spirit of integrity and oneness. Just keep in mind that low roads pool many because ruts are easy.

So what’s it take for the soul to survive and carry into infinity thy song in the symphony?

Be your best

As the younger man I worked myself with respect for the wisdom and temperance of the older man. As the older man I work myself with honor for the passion and optimism of the younger man.

My true self is who I honor. It’s who I’m most committed to. It’s who I answer to. Nothing is more motivating than knowing how dangerous self betrayal is.

It isn’t selfish. Although talk like this could be mistaken. Talk like this has a soul and narcissism does not. Talk like this scrapes, bruises, cries and struggles to “get there”. Talk like this cares about meeting one’s own greatness. Where one is already standing and awaiting oneself.

The most selfless and self sacrificing thing you can do in this messed up and confused world is honor your true self and be your absolute fucking best in it.

The Deepest Temptation

If you want to know why the world is fucked up and why “despite all my rage I’m still just a rat in a cage”, read this.
Then follow up with this as an example of the problem.

It should be noted that the dogmatic assholes who level accusations of moral failing, sin and karma against addicts or anyone in a destitute situation are (consciously or not) part of or serving the evil they claim to be fighting.

They’re part of a destructive system that plays games against humanity. A system that trips humanity up and gets people to feel guilty about themselves for being human. These forces do not want a harmonious world. They want chaos and suffering. They know that the rats are going to go for the drugged water if the cage is made toxic and isolating.

The nature of true evil is not a moral failing or fairy tale figure with horns and a tail. The nature of true evil is something incredibly anti-human (anti-life, anti-matter, anti-spirit). It has no point of reference in the human world and known universe other than maybe the deepest and staunchest clingings on to the force of denial. Denial against freedom, beingness, and the very natural and spontaneous flow of creation itself.

Evil is what has created our culture and is everywhere in society where natural humanity is shamed and natural connection and bonding between warm blooded creatures is shunned.

Some call this evil “patriarchy”, and the negative male ego is very much part of it. The negative male ego, with its desire for power and control, is sort of evil’s prison bitch. The negative male will readily sell out his soul if he thinks he’s going to get a power or ego fix from it. Many men habitually exist in this state of soullessness because it’s been woven into society and the collective mind to think and act in such ways.

Despite how many men (and women) have sold out for power, for money, for fancy suits and cars, and to own the feminine* the source of evil is not humanity. It is something very not human. Something akin to the machines in the Matrix movies. Something that does not understand humanity and its needs at all, something with a sadistic apathy toward it.

*At least the material expression of the feminine (and human soul), as the highest heavens elude those who operate in control and malignant aggression… in crude terms one can not rape their way into the highest gateways of the Mother. Doorways only open for honest hearts and spirits that grasp compassion. “Heaven” never kicked us out, we strayed from it. We kick ourselves out and close the door further with every unhuman act. Love is eternal however, and the arms of love reach out and cry as we stray into unnatural, unhuman territory. Only unnatural patriarchal gods seek to judge (with their limited sight) and punish. Truly, the truest eternal power cries out quietly for us and reminds us that we can turn away form our self betraying unhuman ways at any time and come back to our humanity and souls.

This is the truest temptation of the Mother force, the feminine expression, that unhuman religions and autistic masculine minds demonize and fear.

It’s basic touch itself, even the recognition of our own beingness in our own warm bodies, that these unhuman forces seek to separate us from and have developed entire mind infecting paradigms of polarization and terror against.

It is that basic need that tempts us in our deepest souls to reunite with. Love is what nourished our souls and made any of us what we are today. It is sad how far we’ve strayed.

I can hear the universe crying for us, can you?
